Can anyone find anything on Henry Charles Gearing B. 1836-D. 1891

Hi I have my Great grans Birth Certificate, and her dad reads John Thomas Gearing. This wasn't her  dad, but her mum put him down as her dad. I know this is my Great Gran's birth, because all her mum's former names match on the birth certificate.

My Great Gran was born in 1874, and John died in 1870, so he wasn't her dad.

When Jessie Gearing married James Measures in 1896, John wasn't the name on the wedding certificate, Henry Gearing a Cabinet maker was?.

John Thomas Gearing had a bother Henry, and I can't find some info on him, can anyone on here find anything for 1871?.

Jessie's mum Ann Witton was a widow so she was Ann Ashley when she married John Thomas Gearing in 1856.
Ann was Ann Witton, her dad William Witton a tailor where I've asked on here before if anyone can find her or her dad, but no one can  .

Aged 5  Henry Gearing is staying with Ann and James Morten. Their child Elizabeth Morten, she is married to William Whinrey Gearing. There dad married twice.

Where was Jessie Gearing on census in 1881/1891.   

According to Jessie's sisters marriage John Thomas's occupation was a cabinet maker.  It is possible that a father was just invented for Jessie's marriage, they often were

I think it depends on what sister you pick, to what his occupation or what dads name it was.

On Ancestry message board there was a post looking for Mary Adelaide Gearing. B.1871 d 1854.

The lady put that it wasn't her birth, but Mary grow up thinking it was. On her wedding day she said her dad wasn't John wasn't her dad, but her birth certificate reads John. On her wedding, her dad was a Painter, and the lady wrote John's dad was a Printer, so where Painter was a error, and John was a Carpenter.

Emily her dad reads her husband fathers name, and on Sister Ann's her dad reads William Gearing not John or Henry.

John was a Carpenter, and Henry I think was a printer, but to rule him out i'm looking for the 1871 census to see where he was at this time?.

Please supply more details re Jessie's birth.  Registration district, full name, year/quarter, GRO reference, all details on birth certificate.

And can you answer Rosie, i.e. where was Jessie in 1881 and 1891.

I can't see a Jessie Gearing born 1874, the only near one was born 1875 and her MMN is Morris.
