I am at a brick wall with Joseph Norris b. 30 NOV 1849 London, England died 18 FEB 1927 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, Ca. I have found 1 immigration record when his family moved to Canada, his youngest son was born in 1885 in York, Ontario, Canada, died in 1886. His youngest daughter was born in 1882 in New York, USA. I cannot find any records in England before the moves. I am specifically looking for birth records or census records. His marriage Bann says that he is a member of the St George the Martyr Parish. He married Katharine Thompson in St George the Martyr Parish Church, Southwark, Surrey, England on 13 April 1874. They lived in the Dover Rd Burrough.That is the only record I can find that lists his father also named Joseph Norris. I have a copy of the marriage Bann but am still looking for the father and the name of the mother. The 1 clue from Ancestry.com says that the father Joseph Norris may have been born in 1825. I have tried other sites but they only go back as far as a Son/Grandson Cecil George Thompson Norris born in 1875 in Islington, London, England. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
