I think D G Bush may have been too young as he was born 1930.

Think he was the son/relative  of Stanley C and Ethel Bush around 1939

I think there were two to three generations of Bush's that ran the pub so it would make sense. Just a shame I do not have more information

Paula, I'm not sure how useful this would be, or if possible, but have you checked electoral rolls and phone books? I think some might be online but it has been a long while since I looked anyone up so I might be mistaken.

Did Publicans Licences have to be gazetted in UK?

If so, check your gazettes.  Don't know if UK ones are online / on CD , etc, but worth checking ?
