I wonder if the forename of the child of Ruth WATSON of Middleton, was given in the Register, please?

William Railton and William Martin farmers and William Hood blacksmith all of Middleton: - W.R. in bastardy (Ruth Watson of Middleton singlewoman). c.1782

I was wondering if it might be a George.

However, if the circa 1782 case is recent to the Birth and not a case regarding an older illegitimate Birth, I can probably rule out it out.

A 1782 case would be 2 years on the early side anyway, for my unconfirmed ancestor George Hood.
