Vincent Albertina Poland
« on: Sunday 29 July 18 14:06 BST (UK) »
Good Afternoon

I am searching for advice or information regarding Vincent Albertina born 1860 inRussia
/Poland as he states on the 1891 Census in Liverpool that this is the place of his birth.
His Marriage certificate states that his Father is a Fireman named Joseph Albertina
Rumour has it that the Family are originally from Russia but that the surname is not original but was in fact changed to the name after a ship or vessel named Albertina that the Family sailed on from Russia.
Any information or advice would be much appreciated
Kind Regards
Lorraine

Hi Lorraine, my mum is the family tree expert in our house but I found your post of interest. I  think Vincent was my great grandfather, my grandfather is Joseph born circa 1895 and my father Andrew born Liverpool in 1929. Do you have much info on the family. My grandfather's brothers family were from Scotland Road, my father from Broadway.
