Hi everyone,
Now l don't want to misled anyone but  I found a man with same name as my grandfather travelling to New York 1956.
I haven't got any evidence to say he came to the states. Problem l have is he left my grandmother to work in England 1947/48 and contact was lost l can not find him either in England or back in Ireland. I have his date of birth and was wondering would the travel records record dob etc
So l could rule this chap out of follow up.

Probably not.  Have you looked for naturalization records or his death in the United States?
