In our family history we have a Robert Crawford on whose death certificate in Bourke, New South Wales, Australia states he was born in Shetland Islands (about 1819 according to age at death). On some of his children's birth certificates his place of birth also reflects Shetland and Scotland, but one in particular states his birth place as "Shetland N. B."
Trying to find out if "Shetland N.B." has any significance.
