Weird problem on Familysearch
« on: Monday 20 August 18 11:55 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Only recently started using familysearch as a method of finding records and come across some I hadnt seen before.

I am however having a weird issue - if I login on my phones web browser I can view images from parish registers for instance. If i login on a web browser on PC and carry out the exact same search and go to a parish record it states "no image available"

Does anyone know why this is?

::) think is your PC software doesn't support this not very helpful but perhaps try using a tablet to compare this problem.

Thanks Scalettslipper

Its not the PC as ive tried it on two different ones now.

As a for instance:
The Sussex Parish register for John Batman burial on 14th April 1782
GS Film Number   000918269
Digital Folder Number   004428259
Image Number   00088

On PC there is no image to this record. However if I look on my phone (not app just browser) it will bring up an image.

Thanks Stan
I've checked and the browser im trying to use today is the latest version of Chrome. Also same problem in Firefox and Edge.

I've got it from your link there Stan and I can see it on Chrome. It does not appear when I search the records myself however. Im attaching how my search result looks.

I'll try it again at home on firefox as I cant make changes to the installation at work

Yes I get that screen if you just click on his name, however if you click on "View the Record Details" in the view column you get the image.

Thanks Stan. Didnt think of that one. On mobile I just click the result and the image comes up so didnt expect a difference on the normal web page. Problem solved thank you.  :)
