Radar valve
« on: Tuesday 28 August 18 16:30 BST (UK) »
I've tried to identify exactly what this valve is. It was made by Ferranti during WW2, where my mother worked on quality control. I believe it was used in bomber radar equipment such as H2S but haven't confirmed it.
I've tried some web searches but haven't come up with any certain identification. RootsChatters seem to solve virtually any problem in family history - so here is the challenge! What is this?

There appears to be some marking on the top photo which is not clear.
Please post any identification codes etc. which are on the component.

It may be some sort of gate used to collapse high voltages to provide the pulse via the magnetron.

Thank you both. Sadly I think what seem to be markings are just marks rather than labels......

Without any markings which show the Company Logo or Component Part Number it will be difficult to identify the item. As your mother worked in quality control perhaps it is a faulty or incomplete item.

I have absolutely no idea, but it might be helpful to have some idea of size, perhaps a photo with a ruler or measure beside it?  :)
