So sorry just wanted to find out who she is.Think she's Ukrainian married to Thomas Bosanckeo in Crowan, Cornwall, 1619. She was the daughter of Thomas Bosanckoe b 1571 and Margret Viol c 1569 who was the daughter of Gregorious Viol b 1550 in Basel. they seem to be the parents of John Bosanko b 1620 and Catherine Tregear who then had Thomas b 1652 who married Catherine Trelower ( also Treloar). They had John 1675, Reginald 1681, and martha 1694 who he seems to have begot when when he wan't married to her. There is however no mention of Thomas b 1683/84 who appears to be my line m Catherine / Jeffers/ Tregear? and then Mary 12/2/1709.
Any help worth a million!

Where does this come from (apart from lots of trees that claim he was born in Cornwall)?

How does Ukraine relate to Swiss birth?

Hello and welcome to Rootschat  :)

Although unusual, there are quite a number of Zenobias in Cornwall and looking at a tree, her name is recorded as Zenobia Sinobyl married to Thomas Bosankoe (spellings from the tree).
This is not verified.

Another tree shows her as the daughter of Thomas Talkot and Margery Viol, with no surname.

Bosanko is apparently a Cornish surname.
Where is your evidence re her parentage?

Just to add, there are also Viols in Cornwall.
Perhaps the name Gregorius is taken from a document written in Latin and would be Gregory  ???

Of course if you have the family in Basel, then this might not be the case  :)
