Stupid computer, stupid internet , I don't want 4 birth certs!!

I think I've just ordered 4 birth certificates of the same birth! 

I carefully filled out the details on  the form  making sure I had all the correct info, and  submitted it and the payment at N.Ireland GRO  website for a cert I'm after ( two copies of the cert , one for me and one for my mum who's certificate it is). I hit the button - then had an error message, host down ( site decided to go down the moment I pressed submit/send) , so whether my payment and form was sent  to their computer before the glitch I don't know.  So, I tried again two  or three minutes later ( the site was down for about two minutes), and went back and  submitted the payment and form again.

All good this time, payment and form has been sent

Then I get a ref number/unique ID - please note this down. Which I was about to do, but at the same time I decide to press the  "email"  to ask them to check to see If I have sent two applications/forms , and  if I have to cancel one of them  . I don't want 4 certs of the same birth lol
Low and behold my computer goes on the blink , the window closes off,  , and I haven't written my  unique ref number down for the one I know has been sent  

It's just one of those days!!
This computer came close to flying out the window !!!!!

Thought I'd have a bit of a rant , blow  off some steam arhhhh!  No,  I still don't feel any better  for that lol

Thank goodness someone else has "mishaps" like that...........I thought I was the only one!!!   LOL

I always check and double check before I submit my payment!!

She pressed 'control' and 'enter'

It devoured her completely.
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus,
or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin,
and files of every kind;
I've even used the internet,
but nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
my searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
not a thing was found 'online'.

So if inside your 'inbox',
my grandma you should see,
please 'copy', 'scan' and 'paste' her,
and send her back to me!

Oh dear Cell.  We all do it though 

Last time I made a mistake with ordering from the GRO in London I gave them a call and they were very nice and cancelled the whole thing and I went online and reordered from scratch.  Never got charged for the first lot as they cancelled/refunded the submitted payment and I also didn't have the reference just the cert details.

Give it a try perhaps?

It is so good to know that I am not the only one who wants to smash this "thing" that sits in front of me and gives me more headaches and heartaches than even my kids do!
But I am addicted like everyone else and we keep searching and putting up with the tantrums of this "wonderful" modern invention.
Obviously the person to invent "panadol" owned the first computer!!!!!

Awww..... poor you Cell - when it happens to me, I too find it helps to have a good old scream and shout at the 'stupid' machine.

And Falkryn, that poem is hilarious.  Just what's needed on a dark wet miserbale day.
