Andrews Family
« on: Thursday 06 September 18 10:18 BST (UK) »
In 1881 at Ref: RG11; Piece: 5296; Folio: 8; Page: 20 I have the Andrews family.

I have information on all but Caroline (5, Glamorgan) and Mary (14, Glamorgan). They are both recorded as "daughters" but, as the mother Annie is 60, Caroline cannot be her daughter and Mary may be a very, very late daughter. However I cannot find a GRO birth registration for either.

I'm struggling to tie them into the family and any pointers would be appreciated.

mmn Jones

Where is the family in 1871?
Ann's maiden name?

Hi Mike

So are they taking in "Waifs and strays" ?

This did occur to me Ray.

If you look at the Original the surname is "suspect" - seems to have been written later (??).

What's left of the original.

Caroline is written Carolin A . . . . .

Alfred does not seem to be theirs either, have you got his birth?

GRO registration records his mother Maiden name as Davies but I've come across the David/Davies confusion before so I assumed he was Ann's.
