Looking for marriage & children info for James J Vahey b 27 Apr 1914, Boston, Massachusetts, died 5 Dec 1990, Everett, Massachusetts. No orbit info. Have census 1920/30/40 unmarried in 1940.  Possibly spouse is Patricia Levitt/Leavit

Thanks if you can help, or pointers to links to Massachusetts BMD. Any help appreciated

There is an obituary for him in the Boston Globe.  As it is has various names of people who may be living, I will send it to you in a PM.  It does say his wife was the late Ruth A. (Snow), so you may be able to find a death record for her.

Right now, the Massachusetts births, marriages, and deaths are online until about 1920. After that they are available from the town in which the person died or the Mass Registry

The town has been cheaper when I compared prices before requesting. Ask both.
Massachusetts has fewer restrictions than many other states as to who can obtain a record.
