lead mining history. researching Craig from stanhope area.

I'm tracking my Craig line of ancestors. lead miners living in Pinfold House, Stanhope. 1800's.
(must try to find Pinfold House !! ) 
Can you suggest a source of lead mining info anyone? thanks.

I went to a lead mine via the Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath years ago don't know if that's still the case, very interesting. I have found this

I have a few Lead Mining Ancestors in that area but no Craig names. Stay away from that occupation. Those who worked in the lead mines did not live for very long.

Try “The Shropshire Mines Trust”,the biggest lead mine in the country was at a tiny hamlet called Snailbeach.
There are a lot of buildings in some disrepair  but the site is quite compact and amid some of the loveliest countryside well worth a visit
My G.Grandfather was a shot blaster therein the 1800’s.

Huge thanks to those who have replied to my query.
What a gem to have Been given access to old maps that show the location of the Pinfold House that I was looking for!
Also to remind me of the Kilhope mining museum just down the road!
I'm planning a visit right now!
