I think this is his parents marriage:-

4th February 1815
William Brown of this parish to Anna Maria Kershaw also of this parish (Hitchin)

Bachelor and spinster

The witnesses appear to be a Lydia Brown and a Henry Kershaw

This is on Find My Past Hertfordshire marriages, original image.

You can see where the Kershaw comes from.

I think it's very likely the Battye Library of Western Australia hold a nominal list of Immigrants on this ship and voyage on microfilm.

It may be worth contacting the Ask a Librarian service  there.

Also worth noting that although the marriages of EAVES and TOMLINSON and ROBINSON and BROWN took place a little later, the first registered births to both women were in 1860/61.

Hi Girl Guide

I believe it probably is, I am just looking for more evidence so I can be sure.

Many thanks

If you can get the original of George and Elizabeth's marriage then I believe they contain both parents names on the certificate.

We don't have that in the UK, only the fathers names.

Would this help?

https://www.bdm.justice.wa.gov.au/_apps/pioneersindex/default.aspx

Pick the marriage button, fill in the names etc. and it will come up with the order details.

Hi Dragon,
The suggested purchase of the marriage certificate will give some information about the couple.
However, I would bear in mind they are costly at nearly $50 Aust and unfortunately, the very bits of information you are seeking, may not be shown.  Some certification requirements did not come into place until some years after the marriage dates of your people in W A

You will see-
Date
Couple's names
Couple's ages
Couple's birthplaces No
Previous status
Couple's occupations
Couple's residences
Fathers' names
Fathers' occupations
Groom's mothers name No
Bride's mothers name  No
