White Family.
« on: Thursday 25 October 18 11:12 BST (UK) »
Good morning.
I'm looking for info on an aunts family please.
Her maiden name was Doreen WHITE b. Romford 1931
She definitely had one brother that I know of, Ronald P WHITE b. Romford 1928
I believe her mothers maiden name was LAWRENCE, possibly Mabel but the name SIMES keeps cropping up.
Leyton, Romford, Islington are some areas I have.
Any help please would be appreciated,
Thank you.

Have a look a the above, it will give you the information you are looking for

We have to be very careful here as we might be talking about people who are still alive

You can also cross reference marriages for the 2 you have mentioned

Hi. Thank you. I have looked on there and yes my aunt and uncle (both deceased) are on there with the name Lawrence as their mother.
It was a census or something else, that I was hoping to find, to hopefully clarify the other surnames that I have.

1939 register is possibly what you want  but they would have been single and possibly still at home with their parents unless they were evacuated

I see from FreeBMD that there are other White/Lawrence birth registrations in Romford around the same time who may or may not be related to those you know of:

Mar qtr 1927 John K - likely death as John Kenneth White aged 2, Jun qtr 1929 Romford.
Jun qtr 1928 Ronald P - you have
Sep qtr 1930 (female)
Jun qtr 1931 Doreen C - you have
Mar qtr 1934 (male)
Jun qtr 1937 (male)

I've only named those we have reason to believe have died, but you can see the index entries on FreeBMD.

I am satisfied with the info I have on my aunt and uncle and thank you.
I would like to find some more info on their parents Edward W B White and his wife Mabel C Lawrence. From what I can see, they married in 1915 in West Ham. I have birth dates of 1873 for Edward and 1878 for Mabel

You didn't mention that you knew both parents' names!

Have you looked for them in the 1939 Register?

There's a big gap from marriage in 1915 to the births we know of - do you know why?
