William Cunning from Macduff
« on: Thursday 11 August 05 16:10 BST (UK) »
My Grandfather William Cunning, born 8/8/1875 in Dunfermline, died 15/12/1862 in Macduff.  Married Mary Geddes Campbell on 29/5/1903 in Dunfermline.
He moved to Macduff from Kelso and was employed as Forman Printer at the Banffshire Journal. At the end of the first world war, he, in company with John Watson took over the Macduff Printing Works and carried on a very successful business for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Royal Tarlair Golf Club, a keen member of the Macduff bowling club, and was past president. He was also connected with the St James Lodge of Freemasons. Also a regular worshipper at the Gardner Church.
I was born in Macduff but now live in Birmingham so am unable to do any local searches. So any thing any one can add will be gratefully received.
