Advice needed - tracing someone possibly still alive in USA

Evening all

My recently deceased father married for the first time in 1956 in Yorkshire, England.

Family story is that his wife left him for an American and went to live in the USA. He later divorced her for desertion, probably in the 1960s

I know her maiden name, year of birth, and obviously the name she acquired on marrying my father. Could anyone suggest a way I might be able to find out what happened to her?
