Not the tests fault - strange family.
« on: Thursday 08 November 18 01:54 GMT (UK) »
Of all my matches, there were no revelation. I'm hoping so solve a mystery on my mom's side but have to learn more about how to use the results. On my Dad's side there were only three matches. A mystery there too and I'd need a lot more to solve it even when I know what I'm doing.

I thought about Y-DNA to see if there was an adoption. Checked (can't remember where) and only five men with my surname have been tested. No one, including my brother, who will test Y-DNA for me, cares about ancestors or even much about current family. I would have to pay for it and it seems like a real gamble that five men and my brother will solve a mystery.

Maybe that's why I like genealogy. I get to care about family.  ;D
