Elford St Peter's Churchyard HARTWELL
« on: Saturday 10 November 18 17:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone,

I have done a lot of research into the Hartwell branch of my family from Elford but I'm struggling to fill in some of the death dates.  This is a big ask, but I was hoping someone could take a walk round the churchyard and send me the details of any Hartwells buried there.  I have been to the church quite a while ago and I'm sure I found two, but I just stumbled upon them so have no idea if there are any more.  It would be most helpful if you could send photos or transcripts of the headstones so I can get all the information off them, including "wife of" or "husband of" etc, which will help to tie them into my tree.

Thanks in advance,

Laura

FindMyPast have burials at St Peter, Elford - including some MIs from Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry.

Who are you actually looking for?
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Have a look at Free Reg. There are a number of Hartwell burials at Elford recorded.  1743- 1873.

I've scoured Find My Past and I've got all the records that are on there.  The MIs I've seen only seem to give the surname and not any of the dates etc.  I'm looking for any Hartwells - I'm at the point where I've gone back as far as I can and I'm just filling in any of the gaps I can.

Thanks for the Free Reg suggestion.

I am too a descendant of a william Hartwell 1836-1900 and his wife Hannah 1838-1903. I have his burial at a nearby Cemetery,  Glascote and Tamworth .  Not sure it's the same but I know alot of the family were born in Elford x
