I was dating it in the early 1900's although I am not very knowledgeable in historical clothing and styles. The other couple that some believe this to be were born in 1848 and 1853 which would make them at least 50 years old if this photo dates to the early 1900's. The woman they say this is died in the 1880's and believe the photo is from the 1880's as well.
I do have other pictures of my great grandmother to compare to, but i wanted to get a round about date first. We don't have any other pictures of my great grandfather to compare to. We never questioned that this was my great grandparents until recently when we found other people claiming it was a different couple. Although my father is still certain.
The other pictures of my great grandmother do not look exact but I never looked and compared them to each other as close as i have recently. I could post another picture if anyone might want to see and given an opinion if it is the same woman.
