Elizabeth and Julia Axleillion
« on: Tuesday 20 November 18 07:46 GMT (UK) »
I am tracing the Tasker Family of Tonbridge Kent. In the 1881 Census for M?ial Cottage, Quarry Hill, Tonbridge, is Stephen (1833 Withyham, Sussex) and Elizabeth (1837 Tunbridge Wells) with there family.
Shown with them are "step Daughter's" Elizabeth and Julia Axleillion. neither Elizabeth or Julia appear before or after and the name Axleillion only appears in this Census for all of England. This is not a transcription mis-spelling, but seems to be a "original" error.
Any suggestions of who Elizabeth and Julia could be?
The only likely marriage I have found is, Stephen Tasker and Elizabeth Clarkson Q4 1858 registered Uckfield Sussex.

Where/when were the girls born?

And to add to the confusion - the two youngest children with surname Tasker, William and Sarah E(lizabeth) have mother's maiden name as Baker.  So do we have second marriages for both parties?

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
