Using FreeBMD the birth registration for Jacqueline shows a mother's maiden name of Johnson.

Again, using FreeBMD, there is a possible marriage, again in West Ham Registration District - March quarter 1939 - James T Brown and Margaret E Johnson.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I think you might have to invest in the birth certificate.

Agreed but worth trying for a baptism first, I might get lucky!

That's correct, I have found Florence in 1939 and she has two obscured children, so I am hoping that this might be one of them

West Ham registration district covers more than West Ham parish. Do you have Florence's actual address in 1939 to narrow down which is nearest church
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

Unfortunately Florence had been evacuated in 1939 and was living in Hornchurch, so I can't help with that - but according to FreeBMD the former larger district had been cut in 1935 to just one parish of West Ham itself - which is why I picked that particular birth
