Emily Thornton
« on: Tuesday 27 November 18 18:23 GMT (UK) »
Born around 1836 Antrim. Went by the name Emily but was born Mary Jane Thornton. Red Rock? Mentioned. She is a mystery as is her Mother who is not mentioned in any records. She was my GG Grandmother.
Would love to know more about her. She died in Dalry Scotland a young woman having had a few illegitimate children. Known as Emily!

Religion?
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

No sign of Cavanagrove as a townland or parish. Maybe Cavanagrow.

It is noted as both Cavanagrow and Cavanagrove in some of the wills at PRONI.  In the Freeholder Records, it's listed as Cavanagrough; however, there are no Thorntons listed in the 1820 time period.
