Thomas Herbert Rice- Oklahoma
« on: Wednesday 28 November 18 15:00 GMT (UK) »
Would someone be kind enough, please, to do a look-up on Thomas Herbert Rice who died in 1950. He is buried in Chelsea Cemetery. I need to know if he was born in the U.S., please. It says he was born in 1876, but I think it may mean 1870?

I have a Thomas Herbert Rice, born England, 1870, who disappeared off the face of the earth.

Many thanks,

Colin

I think this man was born in Ohio. He appears on numerous census records , latterly living in Chelsea , Oklahoma.

Disappeared after the 1881 Census and yes that is him. I've just received a letter from a cousin saying that her father stayed with a 'Rice' family in 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; I think it was to tidy some affairs.

Dash, I thought that I'd found him then. It has only taken me nearly 20 years.

Many, many thanks for that look-up.

Colin
