John Evans in Llanbeblig Caernarfon

My GGG grandfather John Evans (Candle Chandler in Pool Street, Llanbeblig, Caernarfon) born about 1800 in Llanbeblig (?) married to Elizabeth ?.

Their first son was John born in Llanbeblig in 1822. They had another son Hugh b.1829 and a daughter Jane b.1824. I don't know if they had any other children until my GG grandmother Eliza / Elizabeth Mary was born 1843.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with John Evans (senior) parents names and his wife's maiden name ?
Also where did they get married ?

If you can pin down the birth for your GG grandmother in 1843 on the GRO birth index it should show her mothers maiden name to help look for a marriage and any other children (born after Sep 1837)

I realise Evans is a common surname but worth a try.

No Eliza Mary Evans in 1843 or Elizabeth Mary - what was her birthplace please?

The family in 1851 Pool Street Llanbeblig HO107/2516/261/5
seem to be in Bangor Street in 1841 John Evans occ Chandler on both census.
HO107/1394/ 3/51 / 19
Hugh Evans aged 22 in 1851, is Hugh Jones in 1841.

She is Eliza in the 1851 census born in Carnarvon Carnarvonshire 1843 . 1861 she is Elizabeth b Carnarvon 1843
In 1871, when she has married to her first husband; she is Elizabeth Mary born in Llanbeblig Carnarvonshire 1843 .

Her death is recorded as Elizabeth Mary

I have both the 1841 and 1851 Census' and had not noticed about Hugh !
Mmmm was it a mistake in surnames by the official census clerk or was he adopted by the family after 1841 ?

Hi again, I can locate a baptism for an Eliza Evans 25th August 1843 Llanbeblig on FamilySearch, but the link to FindMyPast leads to an error message?
Two possible birth registrations Sept qtr 1843 Carnarvon, a Female Evans v27 page 314 and Eliza Evans v27 page 317 oddly both mmn Jones.

That is interesting. I have looked up on the GRO birth site and found for 1843 in Carnarvon, 3 Elizabeths with two mmn and other is blank. 1 Eliza with mmn as Jones .

The 1841 census has 3 Jones with the Evans in Bangor st.; one is a Hugh Jones 75 yrs old approx - so could be the grandfather.

I have read somewhere recently that there is a problem with the LLanbeblig parish records as they have been taken down by the request of the church?

Hi if the baptism is correct, and if indeed the birth was registered, it would have been in Sept qtr 1843.
Possibly the reason of why I cannot locate any births/marriages/deaths in Llanbeblig is the reply given by you?

PS you are correct, their was a thread on Rootschat in April which suggests the church had requested the online records to be removed from FindMyPast.
