Publishers circa 1914

I'm researching soldiers in WW1- one of whom worked for a "magazine publisher" in London.

Can anyone please help with possible Publishers operating at this time?

The British Library will hold copies of all magazines published at the time. You could work your way through their catalogue to see what was on offer - but I suspect it'll be a long job!
This may give you a start:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_19th-century_British_periodicals as it states date of ending publication, although it is incomplete.
