Walter Bendle and Eliza Jane Phillips

Hi All,
Looking for further information on Walter Bendle and Eliza Jane Phillips who married in 1905 at St Pauls Church, Glais. Eliza Jane Phillips was born 29.01.1881 in Ystalyfera. Her father was William Phillips and her mother was Emma Jane Phillips (nee Lloyd). I thisnk Walter and Eliza had a daughter called Eileen that died aged 12 from cancer.
Any further information would be helpful - they are prooving quite elussive!

 5 sons all born in Pontardawe
Emanuel William (1881), Frederick George (1883), Walter (1885),John Emlyn (1890) and Frank (1895)
Joseph was a shoe/boot maker and the eldest 3 sons were tinplate workers

on 1891 census they are living in high street, Pontardawe.

Joseph, Mary Jane, Emanuel, Frederick, Walter and John but also a daughter Mary E (1876) born Pontardawe.

on 1881 census they are living at 35 High Street, Pontardawe

Joseph, Mary, Mary and Emanuel

on 1871 census Joseph is living in Park Lane, Filleigh, Devon and is an apprentice shoe maker (looks like his life long career)

Hi Vicky, yes this indeed is Eliza Jane and her family. Thanks for looking but I did already have this!

Hi David, So the Bendles may have originated from Devon. Another query to solve then - I wonder why they moved to Wales! Next step is to get Eliza's and Walter's marriage certificate. Then I'll know a rough date of birth for him and his father's name. Thanks for your help.
