Looking for a marriage between;
Thomas Liddle (Liddell - born c1857 in Trimdon/Moorsely, Durham) and Hannah Elizabeth Ridsdale (born c1858 in Carlton, Yorkshire)
A daughter, Mary Jane Liddle (mmn Ridsdale) was born during the March quarter of 1876, George Liddle (mmn Ridsdale) was born during the March quarter of 1877, and Jessie, was born during the March quarter of 1880.
Both Mary Jane and George had died prior to 1881, but their births would seem to indicate that Thomas and Hannah had married around 1875/1876. Although Hannah, would have been very young at the time.
The 1881 census finds the family living in Easington Lane, although their young daughter, Jessie, had been born in Ludworth, County Durham, and Hannah's widowed mother, Mary Ridsdale.
By 1911, Thomas indicates that he and Hannah have been married for 38 years - year of marriage would have been c1873.
I believe that the marriage may have taken place around the Ludworth area - could there be a reason why the marriage cannot be found digitally?
Would any of the remaining churchs in the area still hold parish records from that time?
