a missing Grandfather..help if you can
« on: Wednesday 19 December 18 13:14 GMT (UK) »
AUSTRALIA.....
as this Grandfather of a family member of mine "may still be living" I can't note his name and would rather not say the surname too. when he married the Grandmother it very much looks like he's used a family members name, I have him on the marr/certificate as well as Elect Rolls..he then vanishes into thin air.
I can't find a death under the name he was using or the name we "think was his birth name"
Any idea's please..would be most welcomed.

I had a vanished gt grandfather;  he was found at the end of his life using his mother's maiden  name as his surname.

There is also wrong information on his death cert. but this helps as it ties in with his first marriage so I know it's correct.

He may have emigrated.
He might have remarried.
Good luck with your search.

Thanks all...I can't see him emigrating..re married!!..our thoughts are he was a bigamist in the marriage of my family member..also he played the game of Hide and Seek very very well.. been thinking DNA may be the answer.

Thanks all
