Wilfred Henry Burnham

Good evening,

I am looking to trace any military information for WILFRED HENRY BURNHAM born in Hastings, NZ on 12/03/1920. Parents names are ROGER BURNHAM and SOPHIA MAY HOLTHUSEN.

I believe Wilfred is buried in Sunderland, UK next to his Grandfather, HENRY BURNHAM. (His parents emigrated to NZ from Sunderland).

Wilfred joined the NZ Air Force aged 19, and died aged 21 in Birmingham in an air crash. There is an article about him online, but I'd like to know more about his army career before his death. Where would be the best place for me to look for this kind of information?
