MILLARD in Isleworth early 1800s
« on: Wednesday 26 December 18 11:29 GMT (UK) »
I am interested in the various MILLARD families who lived in Isleworth in the early part of the 19th century.  I can see that Ancestry has some PR images but there are big gaps with many years missing.  Does anyone know if this is because the registers/BTs haven't survived for these years?  I'm considering a day in London so I can do a trawl, unless there's an index and someone here would consider a lookup.  My elderly Phillimore says the registers are at Hounslow library with copies at SoG, I suspect this might have changed since 1995!

As well as PRs I'd like to inspect workhouse records, can anyone tell me if they exist for this same period and if so where they are held?

Jane :-)

A starter for workhouses:

If you scroll past all the photos etc. there are details of what records have survived and where they are held.

Parish Registers:

Thanks nanny jan.  I will contact the LMA because they apparently have Isleworth PRs on film, so there's an outside chance they may have Brentford & Isleworth workhouse records too.

The supposedly two Ancestry links both point at the same dataset which doesn't cover the dates/area combination that interests me (unless they've moved Isleworth to somewhere else in the country - wouldn't be the first time!).

I've always found the LMA to be very helpful via email; a reply might take longer than usual at this time of year!
