Richard Stonyer married Mary Oakden by licence on 8 March 1873 in Snelston ( see image on Ancestry: Derbyshire, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1932:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interactive/61409/rs00013304_4450932-00698/93496995 ) The PR entry tells us that Richard's home parish is Llanfillyn in Montgomeryshire. Both signed, with witnesses Joseph Wagstaff, John Harriss and Elizabeth Banks, as far as I know all unrelated to either Richard or Mary.

Citing this Record
"England, Staffordshire, Church Records, 1538-1944", database with images, FamilySearch (
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLQB-2RN7 : 16 March 2018), Mary Oakden and Richard Stonger, 1773.
The search result also lists the residence as Llanfyllin, whilst confirming Richard's occupation of miller and the ages for both of them. There's at least 4 corn mills in and around Llanfyllin.
Knowing the propensity for familysearch to leave stuff off its transcriptions, and as I seem unable to get to see the image for their record (Image Unavailable This image is unavailable for online viewing at this time.
), can anyone else find an image relating to familysearch's entry?
The discovery on the image on Ancestry and now the familysearch entry with the ages for Richard and Mary now causes me to re-consider a large chunk of previous research into this Richard and Mary Stonyer; a substantial family I had attributed to these two may now belong to a different Richard and Mary Stonyer. Curious as well as to whom Mary was previously married, and was Oakden her maiden name or the her first husband's name? I don't seem to be able to find any children for this Richard and Mary either in Snelston or Llanfyllin, so any help there would also be appreciated.
Cheers
David
