Looking for a marriage: Francis Wilson and Mary....

Hi all,

another marriage I'm looking for. Couldn't find it in FreeReg.

Francis Wilson and Mary.....
Francis was married to Susan Hempson from 1724 - 1730/31 (when Susan died).
They were married in Trending.
Francis and Susan had 3 children (Philip, Susan and John, all born in Trending).

Francis and Mary had 6 children as far as I know (Carrington, Francis, Mary, William, Samuel and Samuel). All born in Trending or St. Osyth.

So……, who was Mary ? When and where did they get married ?

I can not find the marriage in either St Osyth or Tendring (note correct spelling)
Do you know where Francis was born or married for the 1st time, and what makes you think he married again?

Hi olleym,

someone gave me the following information:

Francis Wilson married Susanna Hempson in 1724 Tendring.
They had 3 children (Susan 1727, John 1729 and Philip 1731)
Mother Susan died 1731 (Ramsey Essex)

Francis remarried. To Marry, I'm guessing very shortly after Susan died, since his son Carrington was born in 1732 (Tendring).
they had the already mentioned children (between 1732 and 1744)

Francis was bapt. 1700 Tendring.

Tha't's all I know.

I can't find Francis's baptism but suspect Carrington was Mary's surname, their youngest son named hs son Carrington.

This thread says Francis WILSON married Mary CARRINGTON (reply #6). Perhaps you could pm B Steve, or put a post on that thread to see what other info he has.

A Mary Carrington was baptised in Bradfield, Essex (the same area as Ramsey and Lt Bentley)
Parents Benjamin and Judith.

it's a shame that the name Wilson is such a common name. So difficult to find the right Wilsons.

I have been trying to find a connection between John and William Wilson, both from the Writtle area I think (but I could be wrong). John born about 1760-1770 and William born about 1775-1785. At least they both died in Writtle.
Ánd they both got married in Writtle.
Was hoping to find proof that they were brothers or cousins. So far unsuccesfull.

I don't think that Francis Wilson is connected to either one of these men.
