CRANBROOK PARK - ILFORD - IMAGE
« on: Tuesday 08 January 19 14:14 GMT (UK) »
Just a long shot. I would like to acquire an image of the old mansion "Cranbrook Park" which I believe was demolished in about 1899, as part of my research into the Davis family of that place. Can anyone help?

There was a mansion called Great Gearies in Cranbrook road Ilford which was demolished c 1900 which might be the one you mean but unfortunately I haven't found a picture of this either

you could try  https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/libraries/archives-and-history/
Pender, Raphael,Lambert,Digby,Stent,

Hi thanks for that advice which I have taken up. Here's an 1860s map section of the area. By 1910 it was covered in houses with the occasional small park.
