Liverpool Census Lookup - Christian S Nelson

Hi,

1st time posting so I hope I'm getting this right!
I'm looking for any information about Christian S Nelson (the S is Seline or Severen) born and baptised in Liverpool.

Born: Approx. Jan 1886
Parents: Christian Nelson (born 1849 in Norway) and Walborg Nelson (nee. Rekvoldsen born 1850 in Norway)

So far I've found 2 baptism records, 1 when he was just born and 1 when he was 12.  The birth dates are different by a few months on each one but the parents are the same.  The only other document I've found him on is the 1891 census and then nothing after that.
Any information would be much appreciated!

I see that his Catholic baptism of 17 April 1898 gives his name as Christian Sybellin Nelson and birthdate August 1885 (precise day not stated).  It also shows that he is “ex-Protestantism”.

His Church of England baptism on 7 February 1886 records his name as Christian Seline Nelson, born Jan 1886.

Yet another version on his GRO birth registration - indexed as Christian Severien Nelsen, no mother’s maiden name, Mar qtr 1886 Liverpool. 

NB the middle name is indexed on the GRO online as Leverien, which looks like an error.

He’s on a Liverpool crew list in 1907 aged 21, first voyage.  Home address: David Lewis Hostel.

First lesson learnt...read all of the source documents fully!  I've just looked at his brothers information and they were also baptised twice. 

I've just sent off for a copy if his birth certificate so that should sort out the date issue.  I just can't find anything for him after the last baptism record.
There's a crew list for the 'Saxonia' that I think could be him, showing his address 'Davy Lewis Hostel'.  I'm wondering if he travelled abroad and settled elsewhere?!

What specific information are you looking for about Christian?

Can I ask what led you to him? Is he a direct ancestor?

You say you have two baptisms for him? Which churches were these baptisms performed in? Does the second baptism say he is 12 years old?

Do you have his birth certificate? To know his middle name and mother's surname you obviously know a little more than you have mentioned here.

Regarding the census ... 

I found the family in 1891 as you already have.

In 1901 Christian's brother August is living with another brother, Rudolf (Kundolph in 1891  ...) and Rudolph's wife and child at 32 Grayson St Liverpool - reference 3414/76/32.

No sign of Christian in 1901. Do you know what became of him?

I took a look in Norway for Christian's parents. You may of course have them already:

I may have the father but I need to know his father's occupation according to the marriage cert from Liverpool in 1876.

dad has gone from a Mariner to an Interpreter - so many different addresses in Blundell St though .
