Markings on a ship manifest
« on: Thursday 24 January 19 11:02 GMT (UK) »
Member of my family emigrated to the US.
I have managed to find ship manifest with her name on it, she is number 9: BARBARA HAUTZ age 23.
Unfortunately I cant find her anywhere in the US.
When I was looking closer at the manifest I have noticed there is no "tick" against her name.
Does it mean she did not travel or she died during the trip?
Please HELP!

Hi liliana04
and welcome to RootsChat

I can't say why there is no tick but I can say that the other names that were crossed off were not onboard. If you look on the previous page you will see this. I think if she had died I believe it would have said so here.
It says that she was going to Homestead in Pennsylvania but the address is in Pittsburgh.
