Postal Service abbreviations?

Hi I am really hoping someone can please help, doing family tree research a relative worked for Postal Service  as an S.E.T or S.G.T,  what job was this, earlier he was a certified wireless operator?
Here's hoping.

In which country did your relative work for the Postal Service?

S.G.T. could be Special Grade Telegraphist

Thank you Tony, that makes sense, just couldn't decipher writing, I thought E or G, it was from Postal Service Appointment Books, in the 1920's.

Sorry I missed part of your reply Tony, he worked in England for Postal Service in a couple of different towns.
