« on: Sunday 03 February 19 07:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi team

Can anyone enlighten me on The S.W.P.A. Australian Rules Football team?!  I think it has something to do with the Air Force or maybe the AIF in general.

Hi Bitzar,
I found this mention of SWPA football on trove
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article176826473

This particular item was about "that sensational game between the 5th and 13th airforces" and names a few officials and helpers.

Thank you.  Very interesting... I have a pennant from that year, 6th squadron won!  I think it belonged to my grandfather or so we are led to believe!!!
