Hello fellow cousins
Also slightly late to the party. My husband came across this chat via Google, but I'd love to connect to people related to james and Ann arbuckle from ballynadrentagh. They are my ggg grandparents their daughter Margaret (maggie) married my gg grandfather John Young in 1887 and they soon emigrated to brooklyn Newyork. Where I believe her brother Andrew was already living from reading this. My g grandfather Franklin was born in Newyork in 1890 but they returned shortly after to Ireland and Maggie died in February 1891 at her parents house of TB. Her sister registered the death. Franklin married and had 1 son my grandfather John Stanley Young who lived until he was 98. Stanley had 5 children and 13 grandchildren, with so many great grandchildren now I'm losing count! My family are from the Antrim area, although we've spread all over now. JOHN Young when he returned from the US bought a farm at Crosshill very close to ballynadrentagh in the parish of Killead my grandfather inherited the farm and sold it in the 60/70s. Its still referred to as youngs talking to the new owners who've been there 50 odd years.
