Naval record

I would really really appreciate any help deciphering the information in this Naval Record for my great great Uncle, it's such an interesting document to have found! I have never seen one of this records before so don't know what I'm looking for in the columns. I can read the information at the top, it's the information in the table below I'm struggling with. I don't know what the ratings, badges, character or remarks say or are referring to.

I'm no expert but as nobody has answered  yet here are my thoughts:

Boy Second Class

Boy First Class

Ordinary Seaman

Able Seaman

Petty Officer

And in the next column Acting Gunlayer 2nd class and Gunlayer 2nd Class.

And character is generally VG. Ie very good, followed by the date that assessment was recorded and the initials or posotion of who wrote that

It’s very satisfying with these records to work your way through the list of vessels to see where they were. Some will be shore establishments

I think LDG SEA. Is leading seaman

He was a boy entrant, I see, who did his training at HMS Ganges, which was a shore training establishment in Shotley, Suffolk.
