Parents of George Passfield/ Pasfield born 1800

Hi, I can’t find the parents of George Passfield/Pasfield. Assume he was born in Essex. Year was 1800. He married Jemima Penny in 1818 (I think). Any help really appreciated. Even further back ,if possible, would be great.

Is he on any census confirming his birthyear or birthplace?

He married Jemima Penny in Margaretting, Essex in 1818 , but after that I can’t find any trace of them on a census. Perhaps Jemima died but I can’t find a death entry either. So, stuck now and hoping someone will be able to help.

George Passfield married Jemima Penny 16 December 1818 at St. Margaret's Margretting
witness James Fowler and Susanna Penny.

James Fowler of Writtle married Susan Penny 25 May 1820 "with consent of friends".
Witness Samuel Day and Sarah Barrett.
They live in Writtle and can be found on the census.

Susan and Jemima are sisters daughters of Philip Penny.

With consent of friends  is puzzling it is not written on the marriage of George to Jemima, although it is written on several other entries. Quakers?

Margretting burials

George Passfield 3 September 1830 age 33

They had children
George bap 18 April 1819
James bap 22 June 1828 buried 31 May 1829 age 1
Daniel bap 16 May 1830 buried 9 June 1839 age 9
Susan bap 16 May 1830 buried 14 August 1831 age 1

Possibly moved to another village with the gap between 1819 and 1828.

Thank you Amondg. Ihave George as dying in 1867 ? . Sometimes birth date is 1795, others 1800. But no trace of Jemima on census.
 Think I’ll try and follow their children and confirm Jemima is their mother .

Just a thought - their son John was born in 1824 in Ingatestone ( our family line).

Jemima Passfield married Samuel Mellers 1837 registered Chelmsford Oct/Nov/ Dec quarter  vol.12 page 81.

See also 1871 census Margretting Jemima Mellor age 76 born 1795 head of household.

The baptism in Margretting have George and Jemima as their parents.
They do not have any more children after 1830 when George died.

There is also a William Passfield and his wife Charlotte having children in Margretting at the same time as George and Jemima.

Thank you. That would explain why I can’t find Jemima. However when John got married to Sarah Sach in 1850 - George Passfield was a witness, but now thinking could have been John’s brother, not father.

I will look up later about Jemima following yr research. Any ideas where I can go to search for George’s parents. I’m going round in circles
