Findmypast has good coverage for Kent and more are records are expected this year. Some are transcriptions but other have images of the parish registers.

Parish records for the Archdeaconry of Rochester are online

https://cityark.medway.gov.uk/

and Penshurst

http://penshurst-online.co.uk/penshurst_registers_ly.html

You could sign up for a trial or try your local library.  Kent libraries has free access to Ancestry and FindMyPast for members.

I was going to suggest neither of them.  However, I see that Ancestry say that they have Kent C of E baptisms, marriages and burials 1538 - 1914, but at the moment I can't access it to see which parishes they have.  :'(  I haven't checked FindMyPast, but bearkat has  :)
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

It's definitely worth checking out the sites to see if they have the records you're likely to be interested in.

Familysearchwiki is very helpful.  If you look at the parishes for Kent

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Kent_Parishes

Click on the parish you're interested in, then scroll down to church records.

It shows what records are available on which sites.

Remember that you can try searching for your targets for free on any site, even though you won't be able to see them.  You'll get an idea of what is on offer.
