Hello - can anyone help me read the for words in the fathers name on this marriage certificate. Sarah Ann was born illegitimate so the name on here is quite relevant for me. not Thomas Brignall - the one below please.

Thank you. I think that this must be the name of her real father as non of our relatives are Barkers. This is a real find for me as her fathers name is missing from her birth certificate. I had expected to find her step father on the certificate, but no!

The challenge is now to try to find  who John Barker is with only this information.

I think you may have to consider the fact that it may not be genuine...this happened often to save embarrassment   :-\
