I would appreciate some help please, in trying to identify the locations mentioned in this marriage;

Philip Breakspear of Kencott??   B???    to Mary Sperring of     married 5-9-1707 in

This is taken from the Broadwell Marriage Register.

Thank you for your help. I have found a Kencot - but no Baker.

Presumably Broadwell covered Hollwell although I think they may have had their own parish church which doesn't appear within the list of oxfordshire parishes on Anc..y The same might apply to the villiage of Windrush as well.

Windrush is in Gloucestershire and the PRs are on Ancestry

Holwell [one 'l'] (Oxon) was a chapelry of Broadwell (Oxon) until 1850.  (There's another Broadwell in Glos, just to confuse matters!)

Holwell is just on the Oxon side of the county boundary, next to Broadwell as you'd expect, and Windrush isn't far away to the north-east.
