1939 Entry Query
« on: Wednesday 06 March 19 15:02 GMT (UK) »
Not come across this before - a particular note on the 1939.

I haven't looked too hard as yet but I can't see an obvious birth for him. Does the note suggest to you some sort of "adoption order"? But why the change in DoB? If the date has anything to do with it, he would have been 16.

David Vickers died in Q1 1980 and his DoB was given as 28 Dec 1933.

I kind of meant include their ages to infer possible relationships.

Births Mar 1900   Vickers    Percy Neesham        Nottingham    7b   299

Marriages Sep 1927
Dale    Ada    Vickers    Rochdale    8e   13
VICKERS    Percy N    DALE    Rochdale    8e   13

There does appear to be a male child (not called David) born to these parents sep 1934.
May well still be alive

So using surname as Vickers and mmn as Dale, FreeBMD throws up 3 children:

Margaret P - September q 1929 - Bury
(Not David) - September 1934 - Bury
Barbara - June 1938 - Heywood

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.
He/she who never made a mistake, never made anything.
Archbell - anywhere, any date
Kendall - WRY
Milner - WRY
Appleyard - WRY

OK, but I'm not sure how it will help.

Percy was born Nottingham 21/1/1900
Ada DALE was born Castleton, Rochdale 1/3/1904
They were married Castleton, Rochdale 6/8/1927
Patricia was born 13/8/1929 - yet to work out where
I've no idea yet about A.N.O.
Barbara was born 24/5/1938 - yet to work out where

So David, whether he was born 1933 or 1934 sits neatly in the middle

The annotation, as repeated at page 21, refers to "Reg. Adop. Order" and I think gives a date of 5.9.50.

Perhaps (male child not David) is the redacted one, and David was adopted into the family?
