Kirkby Lonsdale

Hello

I have just found a family line linked to Westmorland and Lancashire. Grateful for advice on best online sources for parish and non con records for Westmorland (am starting at Kirkby Lonsdale but these may lead me elsewhere), in particular images of the actual records, or at the very least full transcriptions. Have purchased some records from the Cumbria FHS for Kirkby Lonsdale but these only go to 1812  - Are any later ones available? FreeReg does not seem to have coverage though I am finding that site harder and harder to use.

I have had a look at the resources board and but the link for the online parish clerk seems broken and I can’t find a new one.

Grateful for any help.

Thanks Palladium. I have a sub to FindMyPast, and spent last night browsing the newspapers section, but haven’t found too much of help yet. Probably because I have only just found this line and don’t know too much about them yet. It was an old brick wall knocked down by DNA testing which led straight to a document trail.

Sadly, it is now looking as if the family is mostly from Lancashire rather than Westmorland though some children were baptised in Westmorland. I feel cheated as Westmorland is/was (given it is now part of Cumbria) such a beautiful place that I was very happy to have a claim to belonging there.
