Fanny eyrl, eyal, earl
« on: Sunday 24 March 19 11:23 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for any further info on the mother of the following person if anybody can help?

Fanny Eyrl - born 1860 in Thrussington, Leicestersire.
married Henry Chamberlain born 1857 and had 5 children with him.
i have found her father i think - William Eyrl born 1843 in Thrussington
But i can't find any link to her mother at all (other than a hint her mother was possibly called Lucy but that could be wrong)
Thanks
Craig

Did you get her fathers name as William from her marriage certificate.  What was his occupation

i am now doubting her fathers name as i can't find any concrete link, i think I'm guessing at William being the father through some kind of wrong doing in the family..

Marriage image is on FindMyPast - she is stated as Illegitimate, no fathers name given.  Witness Thomas Eyrl

ADDED 1871 she is grandaughter of Thomas & Lucy Eyrl

yes and 1881 she still lives with her grandparents. i seem to think there was a brother/sister coming together and she was the resulting child

Why would you think that  ::)

If you purchase the birth certificate you will see who the mother is.

Thrussington parish register images are online and there is no evidence of a baptism for Fanny.  It seems the only way is the birth certificate.   Sometimes there are bastardy orders but you are lucky to find those.
