Bedfordshire militia c 1800

Hello,

I was just wondering if militia lists exist anywhere that can be searched please? I am trying to find information about James Cosby c 1779 to 1842 Leighton Buzzard. He married Alice Simons 20 Apr 1807 • Leighton Buzzard,Bedford,England
According to this article he was in the militia.
I don't know what he and William did by the way but he went back at some point, settled and had children.
