Jonathan Brassington - Caverswall
« on: Monday 25 March 19 11:56 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to trace Jonathan Brassington's baptism which would have been around 1759 according to his age on NBI. And as he lived most of his life in Caverswall I'm hoping it was there. If anyone is able to do a look up for me I would be very grateful.

Wow, that was quick! Don't know if it's the right one as he didn't have children called Philip or Hannah and at his marriage he was a husbandman. On the other hand I doubt there are too many Jonathan Brassingtons around so I guessing it's right. It's only about 3 miles from Caverswall.
Many thanks.

I think the repetition of Jonathan a generation back is very persuasive, so thanks again and I shall keep working at it.

Just looked on Ancestry. According to them there is a baptism of a Jonathan Brassington 1/11/1857 rather than 1/11/1757. Did you get it wrong or is it them?

And I thought it was just me who made daft mistakes! Ah well, thanks for trying. I'll keep the John in mind, otherwise it's back to the drawing board.
